What you’ll be doing
1. Deliver key projects to contribute to the overall BTP&FS strategic plan
2. Supporting the formulation of a transformational specialised estate strategy, optimising and rationalising the specialised estate portfolio
3. Undertaking early due diligence and/or stakeholder engagement to determine/challenge reprovision needs for a pipeline building closures
4. Determining and agreeing vacation possession briefs - owning and driving the delivery of specific recovery, clearance and decommissioning projects for disposals and hand backs to landlords
5. Working across P&FS teams as a key interface and information provider on the estate and/or to CFUs/CUs
6. Engage with stakeholder representatives impacted by portfolio plans, managing relationships and resolving conflict
7. Own the engagement and data gathering required for business decisions and to inform the cashflows supporting the business cases in line with P&FS governance
8. Own the delivery of the projects to final closure including changes, management of risks and resolutions in line with project management principles
9. A lead interface in delivery of vacation possession and decommissioning projects including the project management of P&FS and wider BT delivery partners
10. Is responsible for the regular updating of all systems with latest information to allow financial, delivery timescale and lease event tracking.
You'll have the following skills and experience
11. Relationship management: strong relationship management skills. To build a network of stakeholders both within the property team and wider across BT Group
12. Supplier management: strong supplier management skills to manage BT’s outsourced business rates partner
13. Project management: strong programme delivery management skills. Able to pull out key deliverables/ milestones, interdependencies & to track, report and communicate jeopardy to business audiences. Ideally APM qualified or working towards
14. Financial and budgetary planning: preparation, tracking and reporting of programme budgets for a portfolio of projects
15. Real Estate: (desirable) experience gained or member of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
