About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Cover Supervisor to join a thriving secondary school in Leeds. This is a full:time position, offering an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about education and wants to gain valuable experience in a school setting. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher. Your role will involve delivering pre:prepared work, ensuring students remain on task, and maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.

Essential Requirements:
* Previous experience working with young people in a school or similar setting.
* A strong understanding of classroom management techniques.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness for one)

* Experience in delivering lessons across a range of subjects.
* Knowledge of the UK curriculum.
* A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
* The ability to inspire and motivate students.
* Ability to differentiate work to meet the needs of all learners.
* Resilience and a calm demeanour under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre:prepared lessons and learning materials to students.
* Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive and disciplined learning environment.
* Ensure students are on:task and engaged with their work.
* Respond to student queries and provide guidance where necessary.
* Report any issues or concerns to the Head of Department or relevant staff member.
* Follow school policies and procedures regarding attendance, behaviour, and safeguarding.
* Supervise students during break times and lunch duty as required.
* Maintain a safe and tidy classroom environment.
* Communicate effectively with teaching staff and support colleagues.
* Provide a brief report on the lessons progress to the regular teacher.
