Overview
Finance SME - Security and Business Run (6 month FTC) – Bristol. Hybrid work pattern with at least two days per week on site. Focuses on overseeing the security and financial reporting of LBG applications to maintain operational integrity and compliance.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the integrity of data as it flows through the application landscape to prevent operational failures from impacting finance data delivered to downstream MI systems.
* Reduce risk of operational and control failures by reviewing monthly operational tasks within a small team providing coverage for these tasks.
* Collaborate with application subject matter experts, service engineers and POs to manage impact and resolution of daily system issues, failures, errors and incidents.
* Support Operations and Security teams to implement live fixes and error resolution to ensure SLAs and controls are adhered to.
* Provide input into impact assessments of inbound and project changes to ensure no risks to operational or security processes.
* Build and maintain relationships with Finance Risk, Group Audit and External Auditors, and coach/develop colleagues to enhance capability and capacity.
* Prioritise continuous improvement to increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and lead the delivery of risk and control activities within the team, including SOX controls.
* Provide cover for other Managers within the team as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
* A qualified accountant or equivalent Finance experience is essential.
* Ability to demonstrate strict adherence to controls and governance; excellent written and oral communication.
* Ability to make sound judgments under pressure and strong self/working organisation.
* Strong collaborative working skills; experience operating to an timetable and scheduling batch processing is advantageous.
* Analytically minded with experience in operational systems; familiarity with data flows through applications is useful.
* Experience with operational systems such as MABE4, AAH, FDPP, GDRS or Oracle Fusion is advantageous; knowledge of UAM processes for these applications is helpful.
Desirable Experience
* Experience in an operational systems role and understanding of data flows through related applications.
