The Role
You will become a key player in a high-performing team that services a broad client base including estates, rural businesses, community bodies, funders, developers, and public sector organisations across Scotland. You will advise on a wide range of matters such as:
* Sales and purchases of estates, farms, forestry and rural land
* Rural development (e.g., renewables, telecoms, quarrying)
* Natural Capital and biodiversity markets
* Agricultural tenancies and land reform
* Title queries, lettings, and access disputes
* Sporting interests including salmon fishing and grouse moors
* Voluntary registration and estate management projects
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE who is passionate about the rural sector and looking to grow their expertise in a collaborative, supportive environment. You should bring:
* A strong interest in rural property and land law
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and research skills
* A commercial mindset and client-focused approach
* Experience managing transactions and advising clients directly
