Key Responsibilities Select, characterise, test, and qualify materials to meet mechanical, thermal, and lifing requirements. Support product design with materials expertise and contribute to design studies. Collaborate with suppliers to optimise manufacturing techniques (e.g. heat treatment, coatings). Validate manufacturing methods and resolve material-related anomalies. Prepare technical reports and specifications for materials testing and inspection. Contribute to materials development for next-generation components. Ideal Candidate Profile Degree in Materials Engineering or equivalent industry experience. Minimum 5 years' experience in materials engineering within a relevant industry. Strong technical knowledge, ideally with turbomachinery experience. Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Flexible, proactive, and comfortable working outside the traditional scope of a materials engineer.
