An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assurance Officer to join the Safeguarding Adults Board team within Adults and Health at North Lincolnshire Council.
The Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) is a statutory partnership which aims to bring together partners to help and protect adults with care and support needs at risk of abuse or neglect. The SAB team supports the Board’s infrastructure and core functions and helps deliver their strategic plan.
With colleagues in the team, you will play a key role in supporting the scrutiny and assurance function, strengthening the partnership focus on learning and improvement which will contribute to enhancing and supporting frontline multi-agency practice.
Within this role, the successful candidate will:
• Support the coordination of the SAB Scrutiny and Assurance Framework and associated scrutiny and assurance activity including booking/coordinating events, developing Terms of Reference, taking minutes/records, collating papers and following up of actions
• Develop engaging briefings/presentations to share key messages and learning from local scrutiny activity, national initiatives and research findings related to adult safeguarding
• Support the coordination of activity related to undertaking local Safeguarding Adult Reviews
• Collate outcomes from partnership data to identify themes and trends and areas for development
• Undertake associated research and preparing reports for senior officers
• Support the SAB Manager in the development of the annual report, strategic plan and other associated documentation
• Alongside other team members, contribute to voice and engagement activity including the organisation of SAB conferences, stakeholder engagement events and community outreach activities

• You will be a creative individual who is able to develop engaging and concise publications in line with SAB branding
• Strong IT skills are essential
• Strong focus on quality, attention to detail and accuracy
• Well-developed business support skills
• Excellent communication and strong organisational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners
• High level report writing skills
• Acts with tact and diplomacy, taking account of corporate, partnership and political environment and associated sensitivities
• The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the adult safeguarding environment or a willingness to learn
• Previous experience of working in a rapidly changing complex environment is essential
