About the Role

Based at a large chilled foods manufacturer, you will be part of a multiskilled engineering team responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance across the site. Reporting to the Engineering Operations Manager, key responsibilities include:
* Responding swiftly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and disruptions to production.
* Ensuring all planned maintenance is carried out to a high standard.
* Proactively looking for long‑term engineering solutions to recurring issues with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
* Working closely with production teams to improve reliability.
About You
We're looking for an apprentice trained engineer, either electrically or mechanically biased, with the following background:
* Experience of working in an engineering maintenance role in a food, drink, or FMCG production environment.
* A proactive approach, looking for new solutions.
* A team player, willing to share your knowledge and experience with the rest of the team.
* PLC fault‑finding skills (for electrically biased engineers).
* 18th Edition certification would be an advantage.
