Job Title: Health and Social Care Lecturer

Location: Cambridge
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (37 hours per week, full year)
Salary: £29,500 – £43,500

About the Role:

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Health and Social Care Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and support learners across a range of programmes. The Health and Social Care Lecturer will play a key role in course delivery, learner progression, programme development, and the wider growth of the curriculum area.

Teaching may include evenings, Saturdays, and summer periods.

Health and Social Care Lecturer - Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver inspirational teaching, learning, and assessment in Health and Social Care

* Prepare schemes of work and assessment in line with awarding body requirements

* Maintain high-quality learning materials on the VLE and online platforms

* Act as a personal tutor, tracking learner progress and supporting achievement

* Provide timely feedback to learners, parents/guardians, and employers

* Support work placement elements of programmes

* Lead and contribute to programme development, reviews, and quality assurance

* Assist with student recruitment, admissions, and promotional events

* Liaise with awarding bodies and external partners

* Maintain up-to-date professional and industry knowledge

* Promote equality, diversity, safeguarding, and health & safety across all activities

What They Are Looking For:

Essential:

* Teaching or training-related qualification (or willingness to work towards one)

* Relevant Health and Social Care or Health Science qualification (minimum Level 3)

* Maths and English at Level 2 or above

* Recent and relevant industry experience

* Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills

* Ability to motivate and inspire learners

* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and diversity

Desirable:

* FE teaching experience

* Assessor qualification

* Knowledge of current Health and Social Care legislation and policy

* First Aid or Health & Safety training
