Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Fit Out Specialist
Location: Cambridge (with travel across Suffolk/East Anglia)
Working Pattern: Hybrid - mix of site, office (Cambridge), and home working

Overview:
We're seeking a skilled and adaptable Quantity Surveyor with strong fit out and refurbishment experience to join a small, collaborative team delivering high-quality projects across the education, commercial office, and residential apartment sectors.
This role is key to ensuring projects are delivered cost-effectively, working closely with site teams and the Estimating department from early involvement through to final accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all commercial aspects of fit out and refurbishment projects
Ensure cost control, value engineering, and risk management across live projects
Handle subcontractor procurement, payments, and variation management
Collaborate with the Estimating team on tenders and handovers
Support site delivery teams to keep projects on budget and on programme
Prepare cost reports, valuations, and final accounts
Requirements:
Proven experience in fit out/refurbishment (not new build)
Based in Cambridge, Suffolk, or wider East Anglia region
Comfortable working across site, office, and home as required
Strong communication and interpersonal skills - ability to work within a small, close-knit team
Sector experience in education, commercial office, or apartments preferred
