Community Care Legal Assistant

We are working on behalf of a well-established law firm to recruit a proactive and forward-thinking Legal Assistant/Paralegal to join its Community Care team based in Reading.
This is a full-time, non-fee-earning support role, providing high-quality assistance to a Partner and the wider team. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant or Paralegal who enjoys a varied support role and is looking to develop their career, with potential progression to a more senior position based on performance.
The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with 2–3 days per week in the Reading office and flexibility around office days.
Key Requirements
* A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal
* Essential experience within healthcare, NHS or community care law
* Ability to work independently on administrative aspects of files
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent organisation, record-keeping and diary management skills
* Confident managing competing priorities and deadlines
* Strong Microsoft Office and keyboard skills
* A collaborative team player with good interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
* File, case and document management
* Diary and billing administration
* Supporting fee earners and providing holiday cover
* Instructing agents as required
* Assisting with client onboarding and screening
* Contributing to team and individual targets
* Supporting ad hoc fee-earning tasks where appropriate
