A Special Needs School in Abingdon are seeking a dedicated and caring Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as next week. You will be supporting children aged 3 to 16 with moderate learning difficulties, as well as children with autism and communication difficulties.
Responsibilities
* Support students academically and emotionally to help them achieve their full potential.
* Encourage positive social interactions and help students build affective relationships with their peers.
* Help enhance students\' communication skills and provide pastoral care.
* Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive classroom where every student feels valued.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working with children and/or adults with additional needs would be beneficial.
* A degree in a relevant field, such as Psychology, Criminology or Health & Social Care, would also be useful.
Progression and Details
* By working as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant at this school, you will further your SEN experience, with progression opportunities as an SEN Teacher, Speech and Language Therapist, Autism Practitioner or Educational Psychologist.
