Morson Technical Services is currently seeking a Supervisor for the Equipment Bay at RNAS Yeovilton on a permanent basis.
Job Purpose
The IMOS CHF RE Operative will conduct inspections, maintenance, and documentation, including IT systems on Merlin RE, Task Essential Equipment (TEE), and Helicopter Underslung Load Equipment (HUSLE) for CHF HQ, in accordance with IMOS PP4 ASE Support SOR V2 and CHF Cdo Merlin Support Role Requirements documents.
Main Activities and Tasks
1. Assist the IMOS CHF RE Supervisor in configuration control, support, training, maintenance, servicing, and defect rectification of equipment.
2. Carry out maintenance, servicing, and defect rectification on CHF RE and TEE.
3. In the absence of the Supervisor, manage the issue, control, and return of all modification kits and role equipment to the CHF Merlin Fleet as directed.
4. Assist with GOLDesp data creation as required, in accordance with JAP(D)100A-0409-1&2.
5. Support compliance with accounting transaction principles and regulations.
6. Assist in managing repairable assets through workshops and supply chain.
7. Support the day-to-day operations of the section and perform additional tasks as directed.
Additional Responsibilities
The IMOS CHF Squadron ASE Operative will also provide maintenance support (first signature) for GSE, Highway Staging, and Soft-landing Equipment, including:
1. Weekly servicing on 845 and 846 Sqdn GSE.
2. Conducting equipment in-use servicing, weekly inspections, and replenishment checks.
3. Weekly inspections of Highway Staging at 845 and 846 Sqn, reporting defects to One Hangar.
The IMOS CHF Squadron ASE Operative will serve as the CHF SME for assembly and disassembly of staging and conduct maintenance inspections of CHF Soft Landing Equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Educated to at least BTEC Level 2 in an aviation-related subject or have completed recognized aircraft engineering training with relevant experience.
Knowledge of helicopter maintenance operations, supply chain, and technical support processes, including practical experience of forward operational support.
An understanding of the military helicopter environment, command structure, deployment, and operational planning.
Self-motivated and able to work within teams.
