Job Summary
One‑year fixed‑term Band 6 Nurse Specialist role covering maternity leave within the Specialist Epilepsy Service.
Responsibilities
* Provide care to patients managed with medication and those undergoing neurosurgical treatments.
* Act as key point of contact for patients requiring advice and support between appointments, delivering clinical reviews both virtually and face‑to‑face in an outpatient setting.
* Provide education and training to nursing teams within the Wessex Neurological Centre.
* Work closely with neurological consultants and multidisciplinary team members and liaise with health care professionals and community services across the region.
Requirements
* Band 6 nurse specialist.
* Good knowledge of epilepsy (including pharmacological and surgical interventions).
* Experience in outpatient clinical review and patient education.
* Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and across community services.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Workplace & Location
