With a strong reputation for craftsmanship, innovation, and customer service, we are seeking an experienced Operations & Production Manager to lead our manufacturing and operational functions. The Role The Operations & Production Manager will take full responsibility for overseeing daily production, operational efficiency, quality standards, and team performance. Reporting to senior leadership, you will drive continuous improvement, ensure on-time delivery, and support strategic growth initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced manufacturing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all production and operational activities across the facility Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery targets Ensure efficient use of labour, materials, and equipment to optimise productivity Drive continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing, process optimisation, waste reduction) Monitor KPIs and performance metrics, implementing corrective actions where required Maintain high standards of product quality and compliance with health & safety regulations Manage stock control, procurement coordination, and supply chain efficiency Lead, motivate, and develop production teams, supervisors, and support staff Support budgeting, cost control, and margin improvement initiatives Collaborate with sales and design teams to align production capacity with commercial objectives Candidate Profile Essential: Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Production Manager, or similar senior manufacturing role Strong leadership and people management experience Demonstrable experience improving operational efficiency and implementing process improvements Sound knowledge of health & safety regulations within a manufacturing environment Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong IT and reporting capabilities Desirable: Experience within interiors, construction products, or related manufacturing sectors Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma qualification Experience with ERP/MRP systems Engineering or manufacturing-related qualification What We Offer Competitive salary of £50,000 Opportunity to join a stable and growing business Supportive leadership environment Skills: production operations management Benefits: pension
