Description

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated individual with strong experience on manual machining skills who would be suited to a role supporting the repair and maintenance of CAT machinery.
Overview
1. Use of manual machines such as Lathes, Milling Machines and honing machines
2. Reclaiming/refurbing of old or damaged parts and components
3. Manufacturing new parts and components
4. Plan jobs through various stages of manufacture deciding the correct machinery, tooling and processes to be used in order to achieve the stated accuracy and quality
5. Reading/interpreting technical engineering drawings
6. Work with the drawing office and give feedback to create / modify parts
7. Ensure that all tooling related activities are carried out in accordance with the appropriate company procedures.
Requirements
8. Experienced in operating manual machines, Milling, turning and drilling
9. Experience working to tight tolerances
10. Benchwork
11. Checking and assessing of old parts and components prior to remanufacturing
12. Use of hand tools and measuring equipment such as Verniers, Callipers, micrometres, gauges, etc.
13. Train other engineers on the use of manual machines
Education
Apprentice trained (NVQ / City and Guilds) or time served
As a Finning Engineer you will receive:
14. Salary - £35,000 - £39,800 (£15.60 - £17.82 per hour)
