Hours: 37.5 – Monday to Friday

About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor role is a key role within the Chevron Group, assisting the commercial and senior management team in ensuring efficient contract delivery and exceeding the budgeted performance.
Responsibilities of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
12. Helping in managing costs and suggesting journal requests if needed
13. Reviewing monthly management accounts and key performance information
14. Monitoring and maintaining the data within the Company Inhouse Works Management System.
15. Ensuring the timely and accurate billing of works
16. Managing the Early Warning and Compensation Event process
17. Managing client disputes
18. Creating in-contract pricing, estimates and quotations
19. Assisting with recovering aged debt and cash collection
20. Helping to prepare revenue reports and monthly management accounts
21. Contributing to the overall management of commercial aspects of all contracts, including ensuring costs and revenue in correct periods.
What good looks like for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
22. Excellent negotiating Skills
23. Experience working within a commercial setting
24. Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of software – especially Excel
25. Confident to work with an IT/Digital system-led solution to commercial management
26. Ability to build new and existing relationships with Clients and suppliers
27. Full UK Driving Licence

28. Knowledge and experience of Temporary Traffic Management
29. Good understanding of the NEC form of Contract
30. Understanding of management accounts and financial reporting processes
31. Previous demonstrable experience in quantity surveying
