Key Responsibilities MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Managing daily treasury operations across the Group covering in excess of £300 million of cash balances, responsible for global banking operations, ensuring accurate financial records, timely and accurate supplier (internal and external) payments and ensuring all banking related controls are maintained to a high level of compliance
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Treasury operations managing in excess of £300 million funds for the Group across UK and US and multiple legal entities.
• Responsible for day-to-day operational banking:
o Managing the payment-run process, working closely with the Purchase to Pay Team, and ensuring payment runs are executed in line with process and compliant with controls. Requires a good understanding of the group legal entity structure and nature of business operations across the Group.
o Managing the Treasury Policy to ensure cash holding and currency hedging requirements are met through actively working with the Forecast, Planning & Analysis and Financial Reporting teams to understand future cash and currency requirements for the various legal entities. From this ensuring that each legal entity has adequate cash in the correct currency to meet their liabilities, both 3rd party and intercompany, as they fall due.
o Responsible for ensuring that bank reconciliations and required journal entries are undertaken by the Commercial Banking Assistant and reviewed in a timely manner. Ensuring that all identified reconciling items are addressed in an accurate and timely manner and that the journals posted are correct.
o Responsible for issue resolution where issues arise within operational banking activities and working proactively with the relevant Finance teams to identify, mitigate or resolve identified root cause issues.
• Actively champion Immunocore’s Treasury Policy and propose revisions and enhancements to drive continuous improvement, through identification and mitigation of risks arising from changing business conditions or external factors.
• Managing compliance and risks around the Group Treasury Policy and all aspects of operational banking activities. Includes ownership of Sarbanes Oxley controls.
• Foster and maintain operational banking relationships.
• Accountable for working with Finance and IT to support ERP system scoping and implementation to incorporate treasury functionality with a goal of seamless and optimal Treasury operations.
• Requires a high level of understanding of Treasury operations and end-to-end payment processes, together with an understanding of business operations, to identify root causes of issues and propose solutions in areas of high complexity and strict compliance requirements. For example, the role requires a strong understanding of the legal entity and tax transfer pricing arrangements required to support commercialisation, to ensure the invoices and payment processes correctly reflect commercial arrangements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE
• Part/fully qualified accountant.
• Former banking or treasury experience, preferably for a global, publicly traded company, with multiple subsidiaries, operating in multiple currencies.
• Experience in the biopharma industry a plus (not required).
• Six Sigma a strong plus.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated capability in continuous improvement and driving change.
• Proficient in meeting month-end deadlines.
• Has a risk-reporting and mitigation mindset, with initiative to bring identified risks forward promptly.
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) and database proficiency.
• Oracle (NetSuite) experience a plus.
