The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Commercial Property team within our Real Estate department.
Our Commercial Property team focus on all aspects of non-contentious commercial property transactions, advising on acquisitions and disposals of freehold and leasehold properties, on the real estate aspects of portfolio management, insolvency and all other landlord and tenant matters. The team have an extensive and varied client base acting for global brands and quoted companies including Pizza Hut, Pandora, Pure Gym, Patty&Bun, Reiss and Tortilla.
This opportunity will allow you to develop your legal expertise and case management skills, and you will also be encouraged to develop your business development and marketing skills with direct client exposure.
Role responsibility
* Assisting fee earners on larger transactions
* Undertaking a wide variety of work for landlord and occupier clients including: Lease renewals, Landlord & Tenant management work (licences etc.), Site acquisitions and disposals (assisting with due diligence including preparing reports on title, search results and leases), Dealing with post-completion matters (registrations, notices, undertakings etc.), Assisting fee earners with other property transactions
* Liaising with other departments on transactions in particular corporate, construction, planning and property litigation
* Involvement in business development
* Involvement in knowledge management
About you
Ideally you will be able to demonstrate;
* Previous experience in a similar Paralegal role with experience of property transactions
* Previous experience of operating in a fast-paced environment with a significant amount of client contact
* Confidence in dealing with client queries
* Excellent interpersonal skills – with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise and perform in a high volume, deadline-orientated role
* Excellent attention to detail
* The ability to work with others effectively, including assisting others with prioritising and file management tasks
