Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that food preparation and cooking processes run smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food and eager to gain experience in a dynamic kitchen environment. weekend on and weekend off, 3-4 days a week, covering of holidays and sickness as needed.
Duties
 * Assist in the preparation of meals, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients as directed by the cook.
 * Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all utensils, equipment, and surfaces are sanitised according to food safety standards.
 * Support with catering services by preparing food items for events and functions as required.
 * Help with serving meals to residents, ensuring that presentation meets the establishment's standards.
 * Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
 * Participate in stock management, including receiving deliveries and storing food items appropriately.
 * Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
 * Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is highly desirable.
 * Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary skills is an advantage.
