We Are Now Hiring For Our Site In Runcorn Manufacturing Inspector Job Purpose We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Inspector to join our operations team. This dual-role position requires expertise in both weld/fabrication inspection and general product inspection, ensuring all Rotex products meet our rigorous quality standards before reaching our customers. You will play a critical role in maintaining product excellence, supporting continuous improvement, and upholding our reputation for industry-leading separation solutions. Main Duties Inspect welds and fabrications, complete final product sign-offs, and produce snag lists to ensure quality standards are met. Assemble major assemblies, sub-assemblies, and parts into complete screening machines. Conduct site visits to fabrication vendors across the UK and Europe to monitor and verify quality. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to standardize weld maps, improve drawings, and resolve fabrication issues. Develop and maintain inspection procedures, documentation, and quality control processes, including hosting customer inspections. Identify defects in design and fabrication, providing practical solutions and modifications to improve product quality. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Develop contract-specific product quality control processes in collaboration with the Quality team. Examine workpieces for defects and measure for effectiveness. Work to on-time delivery metrics. Candidate Profile In-depth knowledge and experience of industrial standards for fabrication and welding. Highly proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols, with the ability to improve fabrication documentation. PC literate, with intermediate skills in MS Office suite. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident liaising with customers and suppliers, especially under pressure. NVQ, City & Guilds, apprenticeship, or equivalent in welding and inspection is highly desirable.
