 
        
        Graduate Development Programme (Rail Infrastructure)
Selected candidates will be enrolled in AECOM’s Graduate Development Programme (GDP) within the Railway Engineering division.
Responsibilities
 * Integrate engineering designs from other complex railway skill areas such as signalling, electrification and permanent way.
 * Plan the phasing of construction and commissioning work to minimise disruption to passengers and the public.
 * Ensure designs maximise sustainability outcomes during construction and across the whole life of assets.
 * Develop designs that are safe to build, operate and maintain, protecting the safety of passengers and the public.
 * Produce concept and outline design proposals that solve client challenges in the maintenance, renewal and enhancement of railways.
 * Work on site inspection, assessment and design of various railway electrical infrastructure.
 * Design railway stations and work on projects that improve or create new urban realms, station buildings, platforms, footbridges and concourses.
Qualifications
 * BEng in Electrical Engineering 2:1 (or equivalent).
 * MEng in Electrical Engineering 2:1 (or equivalent) is an advantage.
 * Modules in Rail are an advantage.
 * Enthusiastic, hard‑working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive.
 * Good Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
 * Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external clients, both verbally and in writing.
 * Ability to structure & prioritise work effectively through close cooperation with the team.
 * Ability to work independently without losing initiative & focus.
