What the Role Involves Providing targeted subject-based support and intervention delivery in History Supporting teaching and learning through small-group or 1:1 sessions Monitoring and tracking pupil progress to aid academic development Assisting with classroom management and promoting positive behaviour Collaborating with teachers to enhance lesson planning and delivery Contributing to departmental initiatives and pupil engagement activities Interviews to begin w/c 25th August 2025

History Academic Mentor

What the School is Looking For The ideal candidate will have a 2:1 or First-Class degree from a top 30 UK university, ideally with experience or interest in History. Previous child-centred experience is valued but not essential. Schools seek proactive, compassionate, and committed individuals with excellent communication skills and a strong eagerness to learn and grow professionally.

Please note, applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK, as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.

Salary and Contract Info Salary: £450£530 per week, pro rata to term time only Contract: Full-time, long-term (SeptemberJuly), term-time only Potential for future teacher training or extended contracts following a successful placement
