About Us:

H&MV Engineering is a leading global provider of specialist Design, Engineering, and Construction Services, operating across the Data Centre, Renewable Energy, and Transmission & Distribution Utility sectors. With a reputation for excellence, we deliver complex EPC projects across the EMEA region, underpinned by a commitment to safety, innovation, and sustainability.

Our success is driven by our people and our values - Safety, Excellence, Teamwork, Respect, and Sustainability - which shape how we work, how we grow, and how we support each other and our clients. As we continue to expand, we are seeking Electrical Project Engineers to support delivery on some of the most dynamic and high-impact energy infrastructure projects in Europe and beyond.

Role Overview:

The Electrical Project Engineer will play a key role on-site in supporting the delivery of complex Data Centre, Renewables and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The role involves close coordination with design, procurement, commissioning, and construction teams. The successful candidate will oversee the quality and safety of installations, support commissioning efforts, and manage technical interfaces with subcontractors and vendors.

This is a site-based role requiring frequent travel or relocation depending on project needs, ideal for ambitious engineers with 0–5 years of experience looking to accelerate their career in a high-performance EPC environment.

Responsibilities:

* Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning of electrical systems across project sites, ensuring all work is carried out safely and to the highest standards.
* Coordinate with design teams to review and implement engineering drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications on-site.
* Collaborate with procurement and construction teams to monitor material deliveries, equipment installation, and subcontractor performance.
* Conduct daily site inspections to verify quality of work, enforce safety protocols, and monitor progress against programme milestones.
* Manage technical documentation including RFIs, method statements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), redlines, and as-built records.
* Assist in FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), SATs (Site Acceptance Tests), and support the successful energisation and commissioning of electrical systems.
* Participate in regular site meetings with project management, subcontractors, clients, and other key stakeholders.
* Support the QA/QC process by ensuring works are executed according to approved specifications and any non-conformances are recorded and resolved.
* Promote and adhere to H&MV's safety-first culture and ensure all engineering-related site activities comply with health and safety regulations.
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardisation, or buildability and communicate suggestions to senior engineers or project leadership.
* Maintain clear, structured communication and collaboration across multiple disciplines involved in project execution.

Skills/Requirements:

* Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* 0–5 years of experience in an electrical engineering role, preferably with exposure to HV/MV systems or EPC project environments.
* Willingness to travel or relocate for project needs.
* Understanding of the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
* Strong attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
* Familiarity with electrical drawings, specifications, and relevant industry standards.
* Commitment to continuous learning, development, and contributing to a positive team culture rooted in safety and technical excellence.
