Responsibilities
* Build great relationships with stakeholders, mentoring and advising them on People matters.
* Own core People processes including Employee Relations, Performance & Pay Review, Engagement Initiatives, Benefits Administration and Communication updates.
* Provide insights from Ops to support Senior People Partner and Head of People in shaping the wider People Strategy and contributing to the People Roadmap.
* Coaching managers on people issues, ranging from career development to managing difficult conversations.
* Support the full employee life cycle of the Ops team including cyclical processes like performance and pay reviews.
* Collaborate with the People Coordinator to manage operational People tasks.
* Line‑mentor and/or manage a People Coordinator, providing day‑to‑day guidance, development support and performance oversight as needed.
* Provide expert guidance on People policies, employment law and best practices; develop, review and update policies to align with legislation; ensure effective communication and consistent implementation in partnership with managers and stakeholders.
* Support Onboarding/Off‑boarding and continually evolve these processes.
* Support managers with Employee Relations matters: probations, absence management, performance management, investigations, disciplinaries and grievance cases, including some complex cases.
* Support managers and team members with all Family Friendly leave requests.
* Coordinate Talent needs with the relevant Talent team member.
* Coordinate Development & Wellbeing needs with the relevant Wellbeing & Development team member.
* Design, organise and deliver learning/training workshops in collaboration with the Development & Wellbeing team.
* Support the People team in embedding succession planning and talent mapping.
* Support initiatives in line with the rollout and delivery of the Diversity & Inclusion strategy.
* Monitor Engagement scores/metrics and support the rollout of Engagement initiatives.
* Provide support for business inductions to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new employees.
Qualifications and Skills
* A strong awareness and knowledge of Employee Relations and employment law.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
* Ability to juggle a range of tasks effectively with excellent stakeholder management skills – this role is people‑centric first and foremost.
* Results‑focussed and consistently aims to deliver within agreed KPIs.
* An interest and eye for spotting opportunities to improve processes and the initiative to implement changes.
* Energy, passion, a self‑starter and a sleeves‑rolled‑up mentality.
* Ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels of the business.
* Tech savvy with a passion for learning more in this area.
* Strong experience in a similar HR Advisor/People Partner role, preferably in a high‑growth business environment.
* A CIPD qualification is great, but not essential for this role.
