Hours: Full-time (shift rotation)
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Temporary School Caretaker to join our site team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to support the smooth running of a school environment during a busy period.
Working HoursThis role operates on a rotating shift pattern:
1. 6:00am – 2:00pm (2 weeks)
2. 11:00am – 7:00pm (2 weeks)
There may be some flexibility with hours for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
3. Opening and securing school buildings and grounds
4. Carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs
5. Ensuring the school site is clean, safe, and well-presented
6. Supporting health & safety checks andpliance
7. Assisting with deliveries and setting up rooms for school activities/events
8. Liaising with contractors where required
Requirements
9. Previous caretaker, maintenance, or facilities experience is desirable
10. A proactive, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
12. Strong awareness of health and safety practices
13. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is essential
