We have an exciting opportunity for a Store Design Executive to join our Customer team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This role supports the Design Manager – Store Experience to bring to life a best-in-class experience for our customers by focusing on all elements of the in-store journey to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction. This position can be based in our Central Support Office in Lasswade or at our Hub in Dobbies Milton Keynes.
Responsibilities
* Support the Design Manager - Store Experience in designing and optimizing retail and hospitality environments through refurbishment programs.
* Visit stores prior to refurbishment to gather requirements for branding and visual merchandising (VM).
* Brief external contractors, manage work, and collate costs.
* Regularly visit stores during refurbishment to ensure implementation aligns with brand standards.
* Assist store teams with new store standards and coaching for upkeep.
* Support restaurant design projects from concept to implementation.
* Manage day-to-day aspects of strategic store design projects like Home, Pet, and Foodhall.
* Collaborate with external contractors and suppliers to design and build new store kits.
* Act as the main contact during build and installation phases, especially for trial stores like Edinburgh.
* Document store design concepts as blueprints for future rollouts.
* Track and analyze data related to refurbishment design elements to inform future activities.
* Oversee prototyping, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.
* Support the implementation of new store design and visual merchandising plans.

Candidate Profile
* Experience in VM at store or head office level.
* Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
* Passion for gardening, customer experience, and store design.
* Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
* Ability to interpret visual ideas through sketches and 3D visualizations.
* Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Excellent relationship-building and workload management skills.
* Attention to detail with practical hands-on skills.
* Open to feedback and continuous learning.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and SketchUp or similar software.
* Driving license required.
