Barista & Front of House - Hove, East Sussex Job Type: Casual The Role The Flour Pot Bakery is looking for a passionate and customer-focused Barista/Front of House team member to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, preparing high-quality coffee and beverages, and ensuring our store is a welcoming and vibrant space for customers. Key Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all customers feel welcome and valued. Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including expertly crafted coffee-based drinks. Operate espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment with precision. Assist customers with menu choices and offer recommendations on our baked goods. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all front-of-house areas, including counters, tables, and equipment. Process transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Assist with stock management, including restocking display cases and ensuring freshness of products. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient service. Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations. Requirements: Previous experience in a barista or front-of-house role is preferred but not essential—training will be provided. Passion for coffee, baked goods, and excellent customer service. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Positive attitude, reliability, and a proactive approach to teamwork. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required. Knowledge of coffee-making techniques and food safety standards is a plus.
