Packaging Innovation Manager - 9 Month FTC

Job Type: Full-time, Fixed Term ContractJoin our dynamic R&D/Technical team as a Packaging Innovation Manager on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This role is pivotal in driving forward our packaging innovation projects and developing a robust packaging strategy that aligns with our sustainability goals and company strategy. We are open to considering candidates looking for relocation.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
Lead the development and execution of transformational packaging innovations from concept to launch, collaborating closely with Marketing, Procurement, Suppliers, Product Development, Supply Chain, and Operations.
Evaluate and test packaging prototypes to ensure they meet quality, cost, sustainability, and functional requirements.
Plan, execute, and review factory trials for assigned projects.
Develop a 5-year packaging strategy roadmap, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, product innovation, sustainability, and market trends.
Contribute to shaping the packaging innovation program for our brands, leveraging experience from other brands and categories.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of packaging materials, technologies, design best practices, and sustainability.
Good understanding of the food manufacturing process and packaging machinery.
Proficient in understanding commercials & P&L's.
Insight into consumer, customer, channel, and business needs, as well as back-of-house operations and supply chain.
Proven industry experience in packaging development, with a track record of implementing new packaging innovations in FMCG food or consumer goods.
