Overview

Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: Skelmersdale

Contract: Full-time, Permanent Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a specialist primary school in Skelmersdale, supporting children with a range of complex needs including autism, social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and associated learning needs.


The Role

* Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

* Supporting children to develop both academically and socially within a nurturing environment.

* Leading a classroom with support from skilled SEN teaching assistants.

* Using therapeutic and child-centred approaches to help pupils achieve their potential.

* Building strong, positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.


What We’re Looking For

* Ideally a fully qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS), although ECTs with a strong passion for SEN are welcome to apply.

* Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a primary setting.

* A caring, resilient, and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.

* The ability to adapt, problem-solve, and work as part of a supportive team.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
