They are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join their team at their office in Hull on a temp basis.
THE ROLE
* Coordinates transportation activities to ensure timely delivery, customer satisfaction and cost control.
* Forecasts daily supply demand in the assigned shipping mode, tracks freight due for delivery, performs lane analysis and monitors planned transportation on loads; provides solutions to load capability challenges and constraints.
* Monitors import/export accounts; assists in obtaining and preparing all necessary documentation in related logistics business.
* Liaises with Hauliers to ensure delivery is effectively coordinated and monitors systems to ensure orders have been dispatched within agreed timescales.
* Manages outbound deliveries, arranges export declarations (if required), prepares and issues accurate documentation for customers, and arranges import for DDP (if required).
* Monitors the loading slots for bulk and pack loading and manages potential disturbances.
* Monitors and reviews Logistics Service Provider's KPIs and assists in operational review meetings to support the Logistics Manager.
* Logs and follows up on Logistics Service Provider related complaints, HSE and food safety incidents, and manages claims and associated cost recovery.
* Ensures Logistics Service Provider cost accruals are accurate and controls surcharge management.
* Co‑ordinates stock transfer orders to third‑party external warehouses, maintains stock accuracy, and reconciles warehouse invoices.
THE CANDIDATE
* Experience as a Transport/Logistics Coordinator.
* Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across documentation, scheduling and reporting.
* Proven experience in logistics, supply chain or transportation coordination.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
* Good understanding of transport planning and distribution processes.
* Ability to work under pressure and resolve issues quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
* Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with suppliers, drivers and internal teams.
* Strong problem‑solving skills with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
* Knowledge of shipping documentation, customs procedures, or import/export processes (desirable).
* Team player with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
