Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Sandy, Bedfordshire (Hybrid - 2 days working from home)
Permanent, Full Time
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a leading role in commercial and contractual management within a collaborative, forward looking team. You will work closely with colleagues, clients and supply chain partners to support strong commercial outcomes, shared value and trusted relationships across the contract.
Key responsibilities
* Lead commercial and contractual management in line with NEC TSC principles.
* Manage subcontractor accounts with a fair, proactive and open approach.
* Maintain accurate records to support valuations, claims and cost recovery.
* Measure works correctly and support the development of sustainable rates.
* Identify risks and opportunities and support their management through CEMAR.
* Produce and analyse CVRs to support performance and informed decisions.
* Oversee claims and valuations through the Confirm system.
* Support improvements to commercial processes and ways of working.
* Coach and support the development of commercial team members.
* Champion value for money and efficiency across the contract.
Essential skills and requirements
* Background in quantity surveying or civil engineering through qualification or experience.
* Strong working knowledge of NEC TSC contracts.
* Confidence in standard methods of measurement and cost control.
* Ability to analyse large datasets using Excel.
* Experience working collaboratively with clients and supply partners.
* Comfortable working independently while knowing when to escalate issues.
* Experience supporting or leading the development of others.
* Clear communication skills with attention to detail.
* Willingness to travel across the Eastern region when needed.
