Salary: £20,422 - £21,111.51

Contract Term: 12-month fixed term contract - Term Time Only

Location: Horsham, West Sussex

Hours: 08:30 - 16:30, Monday to Friday
Your Role
As a One-to-One Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in our team. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with the Headteacher and class teachers to align with our therapeutic approach.
* Supporting the pupil in both group and individual settings by:
o Clarifying and explaining instructions.
o Ensuring effective use of equipment and materials.
o Motivating and encouraging the pupil with personalized attention.
o Assisting in areas such as speech and language, reading, spelling, and numeracy.
* Using praise and constructive feedback to keep the pupil engaged and focused.
* Liaising with teachers and professionals regarding Individual Personal Education Plans (PEPs).
* Providing additional nurture as needed and implementing behavior management strategies.
* Building supportive relationships to promote acceptance and inclusion.
* Monitoring and adapting learning activities to meet the pupil's needs.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A minimum qualification of GCSE A-C or equivalent in Maths and English.
* A Level 3 or above Teaching Assistant qualification.
* An understanding of the challenges faced by students with Emotional, Behavioural, or Social needs.
* The ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team.
