Position: HGV 2 Driver
Location: Trafford Park, Stretford, Manchester M17 1EH, UK
Salary: £17.00 per hour

Overtime @ 1.5 times the hourly rate
5 on 3 off patter
As early as 0500am start

Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Driving HGV 15 - 18 tonne company liveried vehicles in a secure & controlled environment
* Carrying out vehicle checks prior to use
* Loading and unloading catering uplifts to aircraft
* Liaison with flight crew and working in collaboration with other ground handling suppliers
* Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle
* Adhering to all Road Traffic Acts and additional Airport By- laws
* Additional duties such as Bar and stores packing or search and sealing will be a daily requirement along with any associated paperwork.
* Plus any additional warehouse duties
Requirements of the HGV Driver:
* Valid clean HGV CAT C Driving Licence (up to 3 points will be considered)
* Digital Tachograph knowledge and possession of a digital tachograph card
* Driver CPC qualification essential
* Previous HGV experience desirable, Airport Airside Driving would be an advantage
* Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act
* Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential. You must be able to work shifts and be keen to learn. In addition to job - related training, you will develop your skills in team work, time management, multi-tasking, communication and attention to detail.
* All applicants must have the right to work in the UK, undertake a CRC (Criminal Record Check) and provide 5 years of checkable referencing history. For anytime spent outside the UK exceeding 6 months, you must be able to provide a CRC (Criminal Record Check) for that country.
