Role Overview:
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of highly specialised production and automation equipment. You'll play a key role in minimising downtime, improving processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on a variety of electrical systems and automated machinery
2. Diagnosing faults and repairing control systems, PLCs, motors, sensors, and drives
3. Working closely with the engineering team and production staff to ensure machinery uptime
4. Participating in improvement projects and equipment upgrades
5. Keeping accurate maintenance records and adhering to health & safety standards
6. Attending regular internal and manufacturer-led external training courses
What We're Looking For:
7. NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / ONC / HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
8. Proven experience in an Electrical Maintenance or Service Engineer role (preferably in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment)
9. Competency in fault finding and repair of electrical control systems
10. Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams
11. A proactive mindset, with a strong focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement
12. Flexible, team-oriented, and eager to develop professionally
