A typical day to day will include, meeting and greeting clients, keeping the salon clean and tidy, shampooing clients, gowning clients. As the apprentice progresses they will be involved with cutting of hair, styling hair, shadowing Cleo who will be the mentor of the apprentice. Other role roles will include the following: You will be expected to provide exceptional customer service in person and on the phone/social media. When greeting clients they need to be made to feel welcomed and comfortable. You will be expected to develop and expand your product and treatment knowledge to become an expert on what services we offer at the salon as well as develop your proficiency in the treatments and services and build your skills as a stylist. You will be expected to help keep the salon and tools clean and tidy throughout the day this includes sweeping up, cleaning brushes and combs disinfecting tools and stations. You will also be expected to get involved in salon marketing and communication which helps encourage new bookings and introduce new or existing services to existing and prospective clientele. The training you will be getting Course information: During your apprenticeship you will be enrolled at Leeds City College (School of Hair and Beauty) and will complete the following programme: Level 2 Hair Professional Apprenticeship qualifcation. This programme allows students to develop their skills, knowledge and behaviours through the practical period which can be delivered at college or in the workplace, as well as on the job training delivered in the workplace by your employer.
