HGV Class 2 Driver – New Passes Welcome – Gloucester People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver – New Passes Welcome – Gloucester to join our well-established client based in Gloucester. This is a fantastic opportunity offering ongoing work, excellent rates of pay, full training, and long-term opportunities for both experienced and newly qualified drivers. This role would suit candidates with previous experience as a HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Delivery Driver, or Truck Driver. Shifts • 24-hour operation • Various shift patterns available • Flexible working opportunities available depending on business needs Rates of Pay • £16.62 per hour • PAYE – Holiday accrued separately Benefits As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates • Ongoing work with full training and support • Weekly pay • New passes welcome • Immediate starts available • Company discounts after qualifying period • Staff canteen facilities • Free on-site parking • Employee well-being programme Day-to-Day Duties As a HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include: • Driving waste and recycling vehicles safely and professionally • Following pre-planned collection routes and route risk assessments • Carrying out reversing manoeuvres and careful driving in narrow residential streets • Assisting with vehicle loading where required • Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects • Adhering to all traffic laws and road safety regulations • Maintaining accurate paperwork and delivery records • Communicating effectively with transport teams, customers, and site staff • Working alongside a Driver’s Mate to complete collections efficiently • Some handball duties required Essential Skills As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need: • A valid UK Category C Licence • Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card • No more than six penalty points for minor offences • No IN, DR, DD, or CD endorsement codes • Strong communication and customer service skills • Good understanding of road safety and driver compliance • Reliable, professional, and punctual attitude Desirable Experience • Previous commercial driving or multi-drop experience • Experience handling large or bulky goods • Previous customer-facing delivery experience Training Provided • Full industry-related training provided • Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment Apply If you are ready to join a respected logistics business offering strong rates of pay, flexibility, and long-term opportunities, apply today with your CV or contact our recruitment team for further information.
