About the role:
We are working with a thriving secondary school in Walsall that is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Business Studies Teacher to join their team. This role is ideal for a teacher with a passion for business and economics who can inspire students to develop an understanding of enterprise, finance, and the wider business world.
Role Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and KS5 if applicable).
* Develop schemes of work and resources that meet the national curriculum and examination board requirements.
* Assess, track, and monitor student progress, providing feedback that supports achievement and improvement.
* Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, resilience and independent learning.
* Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives.
* Support pupils in preparing for GCSE and/or A-Level exams, ensuring they reach their full potential.
* Take part in wider school life, including enrichment activities and business-related extracurricular clubs where possible.
Role Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* A degree in Business Studies, Economics or a related subject.
* Strong subject knowledge with the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
* Experience teaching Business Studies at secondary level (KS3/KS4 essential, KS5 desirable).
* Have a DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
* Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
* A commitment to safeguarding, student welfare, and continuous professional development.
