Paralegal
Join to apply for the Paralegal role at Ashfords LLP.
Location: Bristol
Contract Type: Full Time / Permanent
What you’ll do
We are seeking to recruit a confident and ambitious Paralegal to join our highly regarded Employment department in Bristol on a full-time and permanent basis.
Previously named Employment Team of the Year at The Lawyer Awards and consistently ranked in Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, our team is known for providing pragmatic, rigorous and commercially focused advice to clients across the public and private sectors, locally, nationally and internationally.
In this role you will provide essential support to the fee earners in the team, ensuring all of our clients are provided with an outstanding service by understanding their needs and delivering this in a cost effective manner. You will be managing files, taking instructions from senior members of the team and ensuring procedures are effectively handled, whilst taking on some responsibility for department administration.
This position will provide a good foundation for you to go on and become a qualified lawyer, which many of our Paralegals have done previously.
Who you are
As a law graduate, ideally with previous legal experience in either an employment or litigation role, you will be enthusiastic about continuing your career in law.
You are self‑motivated, a good communicator and relish working in a team, with a readiness to work proactively with colleagues to provide them with all the support they need to deliver excellent results for our clients.
You will show an ability to understand and relate to clients’ needs and be able to cope with pressures associated with handling multiple caseloads. You are a quick learner with excellent IT skills, meticulous and thorough in order to deliver high quality work.
You will demonstrate your ability to build strong and lasting relationships with clients and show a genuine commitment to their business needs. In return, you will receive regular training and support for professional development.
