The Role Our client is seeking an experienced and meticulous Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their dedicated team. This is a key position that will support the successful delivery of our projects by ensuring cost-effective planning and financial control from start to finish. Key Responsibilities * Help manage all aspects of cost estimation and budgeting for conservation and restoration projects * Help Conduct cost analysis, risk management, and value engineering * Help prepare and monitor project cash flows and reports * Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal project teams * Oversee procurement processes and contract administration * Help ensure projects remain within budget and timelines * Provide accurate valuations and manage interim/final accounts What They're Looking For * Over 1 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably working for a main contractor in construction * Knowledge of construction contracts and cost control procedures * Strong communication and negotiation skills * High attention to detail and a methodical approach * Ability to work independently and collaboratively across projects * A degree in Quantity Surveying or related field (or equivalent experience) What They Offer * Competitive salary of £40,000 – £55,000, based on experience * The opportunity to work on prestigious and meaningful projects * A collaborative and professional team environment * Commitment to craftsmanship and quality, not just commercial output * Long-term career development with a respected industry leader
