Job Description Support the Establishment Construction Design and Management Manager (ECDMM) in activities related to construction work taking place at HMNB Devonport (HMNB(D)) to ensure compliance with The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) 2015. Under the direction of ECDMM, assist Devonport Safety Group (DSG) to provide health and safety assurance for CDM projects taking place at HMNB(D) where it holds the role of Client on behalf of the Ministry of Defence (MOD) when its personnel may be affected by other CDM duty holders. Person specification The role entails regular contact with Contractors and Visiting Workers, including onsite Industrial Partner Organisations. The post holder will support the SSEPO4 with the management of the 4C's (Coordination, Cooperation, Communication, Control) organisation, with day to day interaction with visiting workers, contractors, sub-contractors and project leads. The post holder must be a confident and capable communicator; the 4C's is a crucial area of delivery during a very busy period of Naval Base infrastructure and construction project works continue to progress. The role includes interaction with various contractors and the post holder must be comfortable with challenging and if required stopping behaviour and work processes that do not meet the required safety standards.
