Atthe LTHT nurseries you will be joining a dedicated team providing childcarepredominantly to Leeds NHS employees.

Across3 settings we provide care for around 168 pre school children MondayFriday from 7am 6pm all year round (excluding Bank Holidays). Each settingis unique and we celebrate the differences and experiences our employeesbring to us.

Main duties of the job

Thecandidate will have the skills and abilities to:

to contribute in updating records of achievements (ie: profiles, observations,care plans), to support the individual needs of the children/families.

assist the management team ( ie: Deputy and Early Years Professional) todevelop, implement and evaluate play and planning using the EYFS for theindividual child and family

to support the nursery team and management team in the delivery of the serviceand the development of quality care

as a key carer the jobholder will assist in the settling in programme to meetthe childs/familys individual needs including first contact with the parent/carer

to assist the nursery team when discussing nursery routines and procedures withnew parents

As part of the nursery team your role will include observing, collating,presenting and recording developmental milestones for childrens individualprofiles

ensure each family receives daily positive feedback

report concerns or family issues to appropriatemanager

LTHTNurseries provide 168 places per day across 3 sites, Clarendon Nursery,Mosaic Nursery and Rosewood Nursery.

All3 nurseries are rated 'Good' by Ofsted, and pride ourselves on the excellentcommitment our staff have to delivering the best quality childcare for allchildren.

Tosupport the nursery team in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stageacross the setting to raise and maintain the excellence of the Early YearsProvision through quality interaction with the children.

Toassist and develop an environment that meets the Ofsted Welfare Requirementsand the individual needs of the child and family.

Thepostholder will work collaboratively with both the management team and aspart of a team of up to 25 practitioners; assisting with meeting theindividual needs of the children whilst sustaining good partnerships with upto 80 families/carers within the setting

Person Specification


Experience

* A sound knowledge of child development for children under 5 years A Knowledge of Ofsted welfare requirements Experience of gathering observations and evidence to record a childs progress
* Experience of working in a busy day care setting Experience of partnership with Parents


Skills & Behaviours

* Ability to create a warm, caring environment for all children Ability to communicate effectively with babies and young Children Skills and abilities to nurture children's learning through stories


Qualifications

* An ofsted recognised level 2 qualification
* Safeguarding children
* food safety training
* Paediatric First aid training
