Job Title: College Community Support Officer
Are you a charismatic, determined, and confident individual with the ability to engage hard-to-reach groups and disengaged students? We are seeking a dedicated professional to develop and coordinate activities that promote social cohesion and integration.
As our College Community Support Officer at Brighton MET - East Campus, you will:
1. Provide first response to incidents across the College site.
2. Assist Managers and staff in adopting collaborative problem-solving approaches.
3. Implement de-escalation techniques and restorative justice.
4. Act as Safeguarding Officer for assigned cases, liaising with the Safeguarding team, and gathering evidence related to incidents and disclosures.
Requirements include GCSE maths and English Language (or equivalent) at C/4 grade or above, and a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject such as Coaching, Health and Social Care, or Youth Work. Experience working with young people (including 14-19-year-olds), vulnerable adults, and those with challenging behavior is essential.

Salary: Pro-rata of £26,716 to £29,196 per annum (£22,194.83 - £24,255.14), based on 37 hours/week, 36 weeks/year. Benefits include:
