We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Process Operator to join our Client's team at the Wastewater Treatment Works in Wigan. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the wastewater treatment processes run smoothly and effectively, safeguarding the environment and the health of our communities.
Details:
* Job: Process Operator
* Client: United Utilities
* Hours: £16.04 per hour PAYE - Monday to Friday 7:00-15:00
* Address: Wastewater Treatment Works and site visits around the area
* Contract details: 6 months contract, with a possibility to go permanent
What will you do?
* Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater and odor control equipment and facilities.
* Operate, monitor, and maintain biological, chemical, mechanical, and hydraulic processes at wastewater treatment plants, collection system pump and regulator stations, and associated facilities.
* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
* Collect and analyze water samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
* Maintain accurate records of operational data and report any anomalies or issues.
* Assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational problems.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols at all times.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
What will you have?
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Previous experience in wastewater treatment operations; understanding of wastewater treatment processes and equipment is an advantage.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Willingness to work in a rural setting and adapt to varying work conditions.
