Electrical Estimator Job Description
This is a hands-on role with responsibility to produce Electrical tenders for both pre-designed and design & construct projects along with estimating works working in a professional team.
* Management of estimating new projects from inception to submission
* Setting up estimates, tender packs and applicable trackers
* Communicating with internal stakeholders and external Suppliers & Clients
* Preparing take-offs for LV/MV Cabling and Containment systems from drawings
* Inputting take offs and quotes to relevant estimate formats
* Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors' proposal documents to support bids
* Assist in the handing over to the operational delivery team
* Develop strong inter-departmental relationships working closely with Contracts Managers, QS's and Design/Engineering department
Requirements:
* Strong commercial experience in an Estimator role
* Self-motivated to ensure that project deadlines are achieved
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team to manage workload efficiently
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to read and understand electrical drawings
* High attention to detail
* Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel
* Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical clients
