I am currently working alongside an elite US law firm in London that is looking to grow its Competition & Antitrust team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on both non-contentious and contentious competition matters, advising multinational clients on complex UK and EU competition law issues.
The Team:
The London team forms part of a globally integrated antitrust platform and advises on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious competition matters. The practice covers cartel investigations, abuse of dominance issues, merger control and competition litigation, alongside strategic advisory work.
Lawyers work closely with colleagues across the firm’s international offices on multi-jurisdictional matters, advising clients across sectors including technology, life sciences, energy and financial services.
The Role:
* Advising on UK and EU competition law matters across both contentious and advisory work
* Assisting on cartel investigations and regulatory matters
* Supporting on competition litigation and follow-on damages actions
* Working on merger control filings and transaction-related competition advice
* Collaborating with international teams on multi-jurisdictional matters
* Taking on increasing responsibility in managing matters and client relationships
The Ideal Candidate:
* UK qualified (or eligible to practice in England & Wales)
* Ideally 3-6 years’ PQE, although flexibility will be considered for the right candidate
* Contentious competition experience is required
* Experience advising on UK and/or EU competition law
* Exposure to investigations, competition litigation, merger control and/or advisory competition work
* Strong academic background and training from a leading law firm or competition practice
* Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of an international team
