Job Overview
The post holder will support the General Manager in the day‑to‑day operational and performance management of the Cancer business unit, providing effective leadership to achieve financial forecasts, deliver contracted activity and implement policy and strategy.
Responsibilities
* Manage designated parts of the Business Unit, including ward areas, assessment units, outpatient and day‑case areas, administrative areas and support the General Manager on projects.
* Build relationships with system partners.
* Ensure delivery of key performance targets within the service area.
* Develop and implement systems for monitoring demand, trends and staffing levels.

Qualifications
* First degree or equivalent.

* Proven record of robust performance management and operational management experience.
* Well‑developed IT skills for complex performance reporting.
