Senior Youth Worker
Term time opportunity within Youth Support to provide open access support to young people of Bridgend. Manage one of our youth centres, lead a team of youth workers, and deliver a needs‑led provision aligned with the Youth Work Strategy for Wales.
Responsibilities
* Manage the youth centre and a team of youth workers.
* Deliver a needs‑led provision aligned with the Youth Work Strategy for Wales.
* Work in a variety of settings, including street‑based services as service needs dictate.
* Greet customers through the medium of Welsh.
* Protect children, young people or adults at risk.
* Work evenings (minimum 2, maximum 4 per week) and occasional weekend work.
Qualifications
* Full, valid driving licence.
* Enhanced DBS check (Children Barred list).
* Experience in child protection and safeguarding.
* Welsh language proficiency for greeting customers.
* Availability for weekend working.
