We’re currently seeking a Software Engineer – Simulation / Unreal Focus to join our team, focused on building a deterministic, physics-accurate simulation platform for multi-robot construction assembly. You will develop high-performance Unreal-based systems that replicate real-world robotic behaviour and enable large-scale autonomy testing.
Responsibilities:
* Building a scalable, headless, deterministic simulation platform for multi-robot on-site construction assembly;
* Simulating coordinated robotic systems operating in shared physical space. Including manipulation, contact, constraints, tolerances, and assembly sequencing;
* Implementing physically grounded sensor models (LiDAR, cameras, IMUs) to support autonomy and perception development;
* Designing high-performance data bridges between Unreal Engine and external C++/Python robotics stacks to enable large-scale scenario testing and AI validation.
Expertise:
* Experience (2 years+) delivering high-fidelity, performance-critical systems in Modern C++ and Unreal Engine;
* A strong foundation in mathematics and physics, with the ability to reason from first principles.
* Comfortable working inside complex real-time systems, writing clean, maintainable C++ within Unreal’s framework.
* A physics-first mindset: you think in forces, constraints, contact, timing, and determinism — and care about replicating real-world behaviour accurately in code.
* Experience shipping titles or deploying simulation products is highly valued.
