As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a hands-on, motivated Assistant Manager to join our team and play a vital leadership role across the business. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll be involved in the daily operation of all areas — supporting staff, improving processes, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, and taking ownership of key responsibilities. This is a senior role with the opportunity to develop into General Manager over time. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee the day-to-day running of the café, shop, B\&B, and garden centre * Support and lead the team, including rota planning, training, and performance monitoring * Deliver outstanding customer service and handle queries or complaints confidently * Manage stock, suppliers, and systems across departments * Uphold high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation * Support event planning and seasonal campaigns * Be a key problem-solver and decision-maker during daily operations What We’re Looking For: * Experience in hospitality, retail, or visitor-facing roles * Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills * Confidence managing people and multiple priorities * A proactive, hands-on attitude and eye for detail * Ability to stay calm under pressure and lead by example * Someone excited to grow with an ambitious, independent business What We Offer: * Competitive salary based on experience * Staff lunches, uniform, equal share of tips * Performance-related bonus * Relocation bonus (for those moving to the area) or sign-on bonus (for local hires) * Training and support to grow into the General Manager role
