About Us:
The Dental Wellness Centre is a thriving dental practice dedicated to patient care and staff development. We are expanding, and we need a highly organised Assistant Practice Manager to support our practice managers and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
The Role:
You will assist in running the practice by managing administrative duties, maintaining records, supporting HR processes, and coordinating with staff and management.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain HR and training records, ensuring compliance with policies.
· Support payroll, staff bonuses, and invoice reconciliation.
· Prepare staff rotas, coordinate shifts, manage holidays, sickness and absence reporting
· Assist practice managers with audits, document management, and compliance tasks.
· Monitor stock, supplies, and ordering processes.
· Understanding of dental compliance, CQC regulations, and other regulatory bodies.
· Prepare agendas, upload minutes, and track action points from practice meetings.
· Oversee reception and administrative processes to maintain high quality patient care
· Contribute to business development by monitoring KPIs, implementing improvements and supporting marketing initiatives.
· Assist in monitoring financial performance, reporting and stock control.
· Act as a point of contact for staff and patients, helping to resolve queries.
Requirements:
· Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally in healthcare or dental practice.
· Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a busy environment.
· Strong organisational skills and leadership skills
· Confident with IT systems and Microsoft packages (Office, Outlook, Teams).
· Experience with dental software is desirable (training will be provided if needed).
· Ability to work proactively, manage priorities, and support multiple staff members.
· Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
· This role requires travel between our two dental practices (Leicester and Coalville). A full driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle are essential.
